We need
your input on “Lakescaping” in Indiana!
Workshop: August 1st, 9:00 am
to Noon (Eastern time)
The Indiana
Dept of Natural Resources Division of Fish & Wildlife, Indiana Lakes
Management Society, and Midwest Glacial Lakes Fish Habitat Partnership are
pleased to invite you to a free, interactive workshop on lakescaping for
wildlife and water quality. Participants will learn about the benefits of
a natural vegetated buffer zone along the lakeshore and how to restore
landscaping that has multiple values for erosion control, nutrient filtration,
aesthetics, and goose deterrence along their shoreline property.
Participants
will learn about the many benefits of lakescaping and will have the
opportunity to provide feedback on the workshop content along the way!
Turning Point (TM) voting technology will be used to poll the audience throughout the
course of the morning, giving you the opportunity to share your knowledge and
experience with us, helping us better meet the needs of you and other lake
users in the future. Please join us and give us your input!
