Our annual conference is a great way to meet other lake enthusiasts and water professionals while learning about lake management successes and challenges around the state.  The conference opens Thursday morning with a plenary speaker and offers two tracks of presentations throughout the day.  Thursday evening is our silent auction and banquet where we present our annual awards (nominations open until December 20th).  Sessions continue Friday morning with the conference wrapping up at noon.  Past presentation topics have included lake sediment case studies, aquatic plant identification, strategies for collecting water quality data, and panel discussions of water-related legislation.

Present at the Conference!

ILMS is now accepting abstracts for our annual conference.  We welcome presentation submissions on a wide variety of topics ranging from academic research to case studies about lake management to tips for water quality monitoring and more.  Presentation sessions are typically 20 minutes in length.  Please submit your abstract by December 27.

Students may submit an abstract for either a presentation or a poster display.  This is a great way to practice your presentation skills in front of a friendly group of lake enthusiasts!  (Never done a poster presentation before?  Check out this 15-minute tutorial from Dr. Joe Frentzel at Grace College.)

Become a Conference Sponsor!

Sponsors are key to making our conference a success.  Sponsorship opportunities start at just $200 and include the option to set up an exhibit in the main ballroom.  Exhibiting at the conference is a great way to reach lake association members, government agency representatives, academics, and lake management professionals.
